COVID-19: Travel Information – UPDATED 28th May 2021 

City of Derry Airport is open and operational with flights to and from London Stansted, Glasgow and Liverpool with Loganair. The airport continues to follow all government guidance regarding the Covid-19 outbreak and asks all passengers to follow the guidelines as well. Find the latest government guidelines here

Current travel guidelines (updated on May 28th, 2021)

Travelling to NI from within the Common Travel Area

If you’re travelling from within the Common Travel Area and staying overnight in Northern Ireland, you should take a rapid lateral flow device test (LFD) before you begin your journey.

You should only travel if the test is negative.

You should also take an LFD test on days two and eight of your stay.

You should not travel to Northern Ireland if you have COVID-19 symptoms, or have received a positive COVID-19 result.

Lateral flow device (LFD) tests are free, simple and easy-to-use test devices which provide results quickly.

Travelling to other regions of the Common Travel Area

If you’re travelling from Northern Ireland to other regions of the Common Travel Area and staying overnight, you should take a rapid lateral flow device test (LFD) before you begin your journey home.

You should only travel if the test is negative.

After you return home you should take an LFD test on day two and day eight.

You’re also subject to the rules of where you’re travelling to.
